The relative air humidity is the most important parameter, besides the temperature measurement. Depending on the temperature, the ambient air absorbs more or less water vapor. Since water itself has good conductivity, the risk of electrostatic charges decreases with increasing air humidity. In return, dry air is a good ionizer and should be avoided in electrostatically sensitive areas.
